Nick is a 35+year veteran of the fire service, both career and volunteer. He had been the Senior Investigator/Consultant with Star Investigations for approximately 8 years until purchasing the company in late 2001 from its founder, John A. Rumplasch. He then changed the name to Palumbo Investigations. Nick and his staff of experts perform various types of investigations and inspections for all the major insurance carriers as well as attorneys, independent adjusters and individuals involved in both criminal and civil matters and are Certified Experts in New York and New Jersey Superior Courts as well as Pennsylvania Court of Plees.

Staff members hold National Certifications as a Fire and Explosions Investigators and also carrie licenses as Fire Inspectors and Fire Officials in the state of New Jersey, as well as having the equivalent certifications from the above captioned associations. They are also a staff instructors at the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice’s Arson Investigators Course in Sea Girt, NJ where one of the portions of the class they teache is vehicle theft and fire investigations. The staff has also trained numerous public and private industry professionals in the field of fire investigations. They have also been  instructors at numerous state, regional and nationally recognized seminars as well as having trained fire service and construction safety professionals through out the U.S. and in Canada.

With regards to the insurance industry, Palumbo Investigations have provided and continues to provide both CEU training and in-house training for the many different carriers of the insurance industry, as well as their employees. The Palumbo Investigations Staff have been the lead instructors at insurance schools not only in New Jersey, but has also instructed insurance and fire service professionals in New York City, New York State, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Nevada, Florida and Wisconsin.
